Once again we will have Practice Runs on some of the most epic legs of the RTO course…
We will post the 2026 Practice Run Schedule in mid February 2026.
Reno Running Co. will give every participant a raffle ticket for each Practice Run they attend. After the final Practice Run, we’ll draw a winner for a new Garmin watch valued up to $500!**Night Run Safety Requirements**
From dusk to dawn, all runners are required to wear a lighted or reflective vest, two blinking lights on the back, and a front-facing light (flashlight, headlamp, or waist lamp). But don’t stop there – bring extra lights!
We strongly encourage runners to be fully illuminated and visible from both the front and the back. Think high-visibility, think bright, think festive. Yes, the goal is absolutely a human Christmas tree – light it up!
Practice/Preview Runs
Our Practice & Preview Runs are open to everyone! You do not need to be registered for the Reno-Tahoe Odyssey, Capital Odyssey, or Comstock Odyssey to join us. You also do not need to be running the specific legs we are previewing. These group runs are a great way to connect with other runners, meet teams looking for teammates (and vice versa), and enjoy a fun community experience.
Run Details
Meet-up locations, route information, and dates/times will be posted the week prior to each run on the RTO Instagram and Facebook pages, and distributed through official race communications for those already registered.
